About Me

"The re-growth of a severed nerve is a romance"- Sir Robert Jones 1918

I am 22, from a tiny town in the rockies of British Columbia and a first year medical student studying in the Canadian North. I found a passion for medicine in the depths of my own health struggles as a young teenager and then with chronic pain from a nerve injury. My goal is to live a life dedicated to helping ease the suffering of the sick, the injured and the broken. I have a special interest in peripheral nerve regeneration and I intend to pursue it throughout medical school, because I believe that someday we will be able to treat neuropathic pain and heal injured nerves.

I grew up competing in many sports, but I mostly identify as a road cyclist, and more recently an open water swimmer, who races mostly for fun, but occasionally to win. I also love Grey's Anatomy and have been watching it for almost half of my wonderful life.

I enjoy long 1000km bike rides across BC, open water swims and spending my free time trying to inspire other students to take on global health challenges. I try to do my best to advocate for those who face discrimination, be it from disability or otherwise, and each day I attempt to make difference in the life of another.

This is my world and my life and I try to give everyday a 110%,  even if I can't wait to go to bed.

    1. Hey, Um....I didn't study for it lol. I didn't have time. I looked over my MCAT notes and thats it. I did pretty well on it, but that is probably only because I did 2 semesters of physics and study for 4 months for the MCAT. Not sure what to tell you other than see if you can borrow some MCAT books?
