Why do we give presents to our friends and family? Don't get me wrong, I love giving gifts, but if you really think about it, it is a little strange. It bothers me that we spend so much money a year on trying to find that perfect gift when there are millions of people in the world who are starving to death and dying of diseases that are easily cured. I wish I could just say no to gifts, to shopping, and give something to somebody who really needs it.
I guess that is just a little rant for the holidays, and maybe a reminder of what Christmas is about.
